Budget 2010: pay freeze for support staff

How does the public sector ‘pay freeze’ affect school support staff? The June 2010 emergency budget announced a two-year public sector pay freeze. Support staff pay is agreed locally, so the effects of the pay freeze are varied. A 1% pay cap has been announced for the two financial years to 2015.
