Inspections: timings throughout the year

Does Ofsted inspect in the final days of the summer term? Inspections can take place at any point after the end of the first complete week of the autumn term. If a nursery or primary school has a new intake of pupils in the spring or summer, Ofsted will not inspect for the first full week of term.
