Register

If your school is not yet registered with The Key

The Key is a pilot service with a limited number of places. Because levels of interest have been high, we have now filled all places and are unable to register further schools. However, it is still worth entering your details here so that we can contact you if more places become available.

If your school is already registered with The Key

We welcome additional registrations from staff at schools already in the pilot and there is no limit to the number of registrations per school. When you submit your registration, we will confirm by e-mail within two working days that your registration has been successful.

This is the name you will use to log in every time. It must be unique and easy for you to remember. It should have no spaces or special characters. Your user name is case sensitive.

This is necessary in case you forget your password. We respect your privacy and will not give the address away to any third parties without your permission or expose it anywhere. You can add additional contact details in your Profile after you’ve registered.

This site doesn’t hold confidential information apart from your contact details so it makes sense to use a password that is easy to remember. It is transmitted in clear text across the Internet, so we recommend that you do not use a password that you use for highly confidential sites. It needs to be a minimum of 5 characters with no spaces or special characters.

Please give us your 7-digit LA/DCSF number (formerly LA/DfES number, for example 123/4567). You can find this number on Edubase. If for some reason you don't have a number, please email enquiries@usethekey.org.uk.

Research

The Key will be commissioning specific user research in 2008 to understand what impact The Key is having amongst school leaders. We would be grateful if you would give your consent to help us develop the service further.
