How to Enable Cookies

Internet Explorer

Version 8.x

1. Click the Tools button on the browser toolbar and select Internet Options
2. Select the Privacy tab at the top of the dialog box
3. Click the 'Sites' button
4. Enter http://www.usethekey.org.uk into the Address box and click Allow
5. Click OK and close the remaining dialog boxes

Version 7.x

1. Click Tools on the menu at the top of your browser and select Internet Options
2. Select the Privacy tab at the top of the screen
3. Click the 'Sites' button
4. Enter http://www.usethekey.org.uk into the Address box and click Allow
5. Click OK and close the remaining dialog boxes

Version 6.x

1. Click Tools on the menu at the top of your browser and select Internet Options
2. Click the Privacy tab at the top of the screen
3. Move the slider to Medium and click OK

Version 5.x

1. Click Tools on the menu at the top of your browser and select Internet Options
2. Click the Security tab at the top of the screen
3. Click Custom Level and scroll down to the Cookies section
4. Set "Allow per-session cookies" to Enable and click OK

Mozilla Firefox

1. On Windows, click Edit on the menu at the top of the window and select Preferences
   OR
   On Mac OS X, click Firefox on the menu at the top of the screen and select Preferences
2. Click the 'Privacy' tab at the top of the dialog box
3. Ensure that the 'Accept cookies from sites' and 'Accept third-party cookies' check boxes are checked
4. Close the dialog box

Safari

1. On Mac OS X, click Safari on the menu at the top of the screen and select Preferences
   OR
   On Windows, click the Safari Settings Menu button (it looks like a cog) on the browser toolbar and select Preferences
2. Click the Security tab at the top of the dialog box
3. Next to 'Accept Cookies:', select either 'Always' or 'Only for sites I visit'
4. Close the dialog box

Chrome

1. Click the wrench icon on the browser toolbar and select Preferences
2. Click 'Content Settings...'
3. Click 'Cookies' in the menu on the left
4. Ensure that 'Allow local data to be set' is selected
5. Close the dialog boxes

Opera

1. Click Tools on the menu at the top of the window and select Preferences
2. Select Advanced, and then Cookies
3. Select either 'Accept' or 'Accept only from the sites I visit'
4. Close the dialog box
